Lazoo

Born in Paris in 1969, Lazoo began painting in 1986. Feeling most at home with narrative figuration, his main sources of inspiration are the worlds of comics and music. He started off his career by stencilling on walls, before later turning to other techniques such as spray paints, brushes and markers on canvas. His work is easily identifiable thanks to its figurative style and use of colour. Most of Lazoo’s creations are monumental and cultural projects, either alone or with other artists. These days, Lazoo finds inspiration for his work through travel and encounters. He uses his painting as a means of sharing and putting out messages. He travels all over the world sharing his work with local audiences and artists in the form of frescoes, exhibitions, collaborations and workshops.
