Obêtre

Obêtre is a Brussels-based artist who holds a degree in art in the public space from La Cambre. He began graffitiing in the 1990s, gradually breaking away from the hip hop tradition and moving towards contextual art. Obêtre creates wood sculptures inspired by architectural elements in the environment in which they are located: graffitectures. These technical installations generally consist of several colours (in natural and painted wood) and are composed of narrow beams.
