“Bue the Warrior, whose real name is Dave De Rop, is a Belgian street artist from Ghent.
Bue was influenced by the world of comic strips and animated drawings at an early age and creates a visual language close to that of childhood. He develops characters and small “cartoon animals” in a naive, very “kawaii” style. His work is easily identifiable by his large explosive, colourful frescoes bursting with positive energy.
Bue’s adrenaline is a mixture of joy and a feeling of freedom that drives him when he paints. He claims that his work is free of all concepts, commitments and propaganda. Bue does not claim to change the world with his work, defining himself as a “big child” whose only idea is having “fun” in everything he does!”*
