Danaé BRISSONNET

Danaé Brissonnet is an international artist from Quebec, Canada and specialises in murals, illustrations, masks and puppets. She creates colourful and fantastic works of art inspired by local traditions. By creating imaginary worlds for viewers, her work draws attention to the power of symbolism, myth and metaphors. Danaé Brissonnet’s art forges a bond between her work, herself and the public with whom she interacts. More importantly, the artist seeks to integrate herself into communities so that she can tell the stories of local people, their country and culture. Wherever she creates, there’s a good chance that the artist will give a workshop to share her experience. She looks for places where art is not accessible and places great importance on working with children to enable them to paint their own stories with the materials available to them. Thanks to her professional work, Danaé Brissonnet is able to travel to conflict zones and rural communities. By leaving a colourful trace, her art gives an impression of accessibility, as she visually transposes her story and the stories of others. Through her work, she hopes to foster change and inspiration in the places she believes that need it most.
