Edward von Lõngus

Edward von Lõngus is an Estonian stencil artist living in Tartu (Estonia). Despite his fame, the artist continues to conceal his identity. Edward von Lõngus’ work is both engaged with and critical of the society around us. In his compositions, he features both reappropriated historical figures and elements of pop culture. The association of references within his work tinges his art with a highly ironic, even sarcastic tone. This combination of stencilling and social commentary inevitably brings to mind his British counterpart, Banksy.
