Olimpia Velasco

Olimpia Velasco was born in Madrid in 1970. She is a visual artist who lives and works in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. Ms Velasco has a diploma in Fine Arts from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. She obtained a doctorate at the same university and from the Technological Educational Institute of Athens (Socrates scholarship). She also holds a degree in graphic design from Centro Español de Nuevas Profesiones in Madrid. Olimpia Velasco has already participated in numerous national and international exhibitions, showcasing her works individually or as part of a collective exhibition. Her creations can be found in various international fairs, such as the Seoul Art Fair or the Madrid Art Fair. The artist has not confined her artistic expression to static works of art, she has also adorned public spaces, creating pieces such as the “Floating in the air” mural in Dusseldorf airport and “Before of the flight” as part of the “Art in the Sky” project in Paris.
