Selina Miles // Martha Cooper A Picture Story // Projection
Projection – Munpunt, Place de la Monnaie 6, 1000 Buxelles
To complement the exhibition, there will be two screenings of the documentary by Australian director Selina Miles, Martha: A Picture Story. Selina Miles’ film is a vibrant portrait of photographer Martha Cooper, who, in 1970s New York, captured the first images of graffiti appearing on the city’s underground carriages. Decades later, Martha realised that she had become an extraordinary icon in the world of street art, as her joyful and insightful photographs have inspired the spread of graffiti around the world.
The documentary will be screened at MuntPunt on the 26th September and 3rd October at 7pm.
