The “Crolle des Snuls” is a twisted shape, somewhere between a spiral, a question mark and an onomatopoeia. It was created in 1989 by Frédéric Jannin, a Brussels-based cartoonist, musician, humorist and media man. Beyond the symbolism found in many comic strips, this piece is the representation of questioning, surprise, giddiness, a certain surrealism and that famous Belgitude that is so characteristic.
