This mosaic, entitled Diversity: the union as more than the sum of its parts, was created to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the law giving same-sex couples the right to marry.

The piece was created by Medianeras, a duo formed by Argentinian artists Vanesa Galdeano and Anali Chanquia, who are themselves in a same-sex marriage.

This mosaic represents the essence of diversity and freedom of choice in relationships. The colours and shapes of the mosaic symbolise the plurality of experiences and perspectives that enrich our society. This fresco seeks not only to commemorate a historic milestone, but also to remind us of the need to defend inclusivity and equality for all.
