Flora Mural is a ceramic triptych designed to mark the Spanish presidency of the Council of the European Union and the trio of presidencies: Spain – Belgium – Hungary (2023-2024). This unifying project was realized in collaboration with European artists: Blanca Gracia from Spain, Laura Dauchet from Belgium and Mónika Kárándi from Hungary. Through the theme of urban flora, the fresco explores multiculturalism, the heritage value of the botanical world, cultural syncretism, mutation between species and their capacity for evolution and resilience, while celebrating their beauty and diversity through art. This new two-dimensional garden, created by 6 hands, gives us an opportunity to talk about some of the founding ideas of the European Union.
