After a career in the media in Paris, Céleste Gangolphe moved between Lyon, Brussels and now Marseille to develop her specialisation in drawing and mural painting. Using a range of graphic styles, the artist is free to adapt her compositions to suit each project. Céleste Gangolphe is very social minded and focuses her work on subjects that make sense to her, such as social inequality, women’s rights and LGBTQ+ individuals. She believes that frescoes can be used to address a number of issues, depending on the location: beautification, signage, education, information, etc. She is also a member of the Brussels-based 7e Gauche mural painting collective.
